Heavenly Sound - Sneak Peak #1

This year, the Lord gave me an incredible vision to bring international worship home with me to share with others. In mid-December, we will have albums produced that have 13 tracks from 5 different countries for you to purchase and enjoy! 100% of the money that this album makes will be given directly back to the people and places that we recorded. This is possible because the church chose to fund this project!

 

Shane and Shane

Shane and Shane played last Tuesday at Lifestream.  These guys are an example of greatness - both in musical talent and character off the stage, and a pretty big deal to Christian music.  I was able to spend a lot of time with them that evening and couldn't be more impressed with them as individuals.  Click here to buy their albums.

Eric Moore & Concert One

Last night, we had an incredible night of worship at our church.  Our youth ministry was able to "host" people from other churches and communities for "CONCERT ONE," a night of multiple styles and genres of Christian music with one purpose.  M.O.L., Sean Johnson, Rob Clay, WCC, Vince Carter, and my boy Kyle Cantrell all performed/led worship.  The main attraction was Eric Moore with Resonate.  Let me tell you why I admire this brother in the Lord:

• Eric is gifted beyond imagination but gives all glory to God
• He presence on stage is one of worship and not entertainment
• He is personable and will talk to anyone about anything
• His band's loyalty to him shows how much he cares for them
• After talking with him for a while, he has a heart for the nations!
• He's a Sooner (former OU football player, 1995-1999)

Highest Play Count

I really don't have the gift of finding great music on my own.  I do, however, grab whatever I can when I hear other people playing something I like.  Here's my top 5 favorite CD's right now that get the most play-time in my car, at my desk, on my i-POD or at the house... these are the albums that have the highest play count on my iTunes. If you don't have one or more of these albums, I highly recommend getting these! Click on the album to purchase or the artist's name to visit their website...

1. Shane & Shane's new album, "Pages."  This is a different sounding album than ones from their past, but I really like it.  The lyrics are incredible and there are a lot of new twists in their writing. 
2. Sean Feucht has a new album as well, "Awaken Love."  Sean and I met in India a few years back.  He is a passionate worship leader, and his albums reflect that passion.  He is currently leading a grassroots movement of international worship and prayer called Burn 24-7.  Click here to learn more about how the Lord is using Sean and his team.
3. Kari Jobe has one of the most beautiful female voices I've ever heard (other than Rose Coleman and Michelle Milben) and here entire Live Worship album is perfect for sitting along with the Father and spending time meditating on Him!  A must have!!!  Journey Church uses a lot of her songs, so if you go to Journey, you've probably heard a few of them!
4. Cody Dunbar is a life-long friend of mine and an incredible worship leader.  I'd like to take this opportunity to brag - I taught Cody how to play the guitar (OK, I only taught him 4 chords - G, C, Em and D... allows you to lead the majority of worship songs).  He took his talent to a rare level and can do some scary stuff with a guitar.  Check out his album, "Woven," and enjoy!  If you're in the area and looking to book a great worship leader, he is your guy!
5. I know the Leeland craze has swept the nation already, but if you haven't grabbed his "Sound of Melodies" album, you need to.  I took a group of high school students to a Student Life Clarity Conference, and Leeland was there.  After hearing this kid's lyrics and seeing his talent, you'll be surprised to know that he is only 18 years old!  The Lord is definitely doing something great in his music ministry career!
