Hilarious Staff Video on FEAR...

Our youth staff recently shot this video where we talk about the things we feared growing up.  Of course I rambled on and on about my biggest fear in life: SHARKS.  Hope you enjoy it and get a laugh out of it... our students did!!!

Our Little Brother, Jacob

We have a wonderful young man in our ministry, Jacob.  He is 11 years old and for almost his entire life, he's battled SMA.  He recorded part of his testimony on a video for us and wants it to be shared to encourage others to trust in God! 

Jacob went in for a 9-hour surgery yesterday morning.  He is doing well today in ICU, and the surgery successfully straightened the vertebrae in his back.  He had two rods put in his back.  Please join our staff, leaders and students in praying for this wonderful little brother of ours!

12 Days of Christmas Skit

Well, this year is no different than others.  I made a fool of myself at our Christmas worship experiences by doing our 12 Days of Christmas Skit.  This year, my partner in crime was Heath Hibbard.  He's hilarious.  Make sure you watch to the end so you can see my drum solo on 12 Drummers Drumming!  Believe it or not, this skit is about the equivalent of 45 minutes on a treadmill.  Seriously.  Enjoy!

Let the Planning Begin!!!

Well, we are officially neck deep in the mission trip application process and placing students on our 2008 Mission trips.  Because so many of our students have a heart for serving locally, I'm excited for the opportunity they have to make a difference globally.  We are currently looking at flights, charter buses, passport applications, and so on.  That gets my blood pumping!!!  Here's our 2008 Mission trip destinations and below is a video that we made to show at youth with information on our trips...

• Reynosa, Mexico (Spring Break, March 15th - March 22nd)
• San Rafael, Nicaragua (Spring Break, March 15th - March 22nd)
• Maputo, Mozambique (Summer, Tentatively July 3rd - July 15th)

 

Christmas Promo Video

We finally got our own YouTube account for Student Journey.  Click here to check it out.  We just finished making a few videos that are now posted on that site.  The one below is our Christmas Promo Video that we showed our students last week to promote our Christmas party.  I got the idea to put a video in reverse from Corey Mann, who is a pretty creative cat on staff at Granger Community Church.  It is a pretty funny video that gets a little out of hand at times, but needless to say, made our students laugh their butt's off!  Enjoy!

Will it Sink or will it Float?

After almost three years on staff at Journey Church, one of my favorite, but completely irrelevant "ministry tools" we use is the infamous Sink or Float videos that we periodically make.  Timmy Coleman and Chad Higgins, when put together in a swimming pool in extremely tight clothing, become one of the funniest duos you'll ever watch.  This one is by far the best one in my opinion.  Higgins has a weak stomach, and it shows in this video thanks to some buttermilk and fresh tilapia.
